Legal
Last updated: June 15, 2026
We’re founders ourselves, so we’ll keep this straight with you. Everything legal lives on this one page: how we handle your data, the cookies we use, the terms for using the site, and a few important disclaimers. Jump to what you need.
Privacy Policy
This explains what personal information FoundersEdge (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit www.foundersedge.com (the “Site”), read our updates, reach out, or pitch us — and what we do with it. We collect as little as we can, we don’t sell it, and we’re happy to delete it whenever you ask. It also covers the rights you have under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA (CCPA). By using the Site, you agree to what’s described here.
Who we are
FoundersEdge is a pre-seed venture capital fund investing in AI-native software companies across the United States. If you have a privacy question, or you want to exercise any of the rights below, just email a real person at hello@foundersedge.com — we read every message. For the purposes of the GDPR, FoundersEdge is the “data controller” of the personal data described here.
What we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email, company, role, and anything else you share when you contact us, subscribe, or apply for funding (pitch materials, links, and the like).
- Usage and device information. When you visit, our hosting provider and content-delivery network automatically log technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and timestamps.
- Analytics information. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, session activity). See the Cookie Policy for details and controls.
We don’t intentionally collect special categories of data (such as health or biometric data), and we don’t knowingly collect information from children under 16.
How we use it
We use personal information to respond to you; to evaluate funding applications and related diligence; to send updates you’ve asked for; to operate, secure, and improve the Site; to understand usage through analytics (with consent); and to comply with the law.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (analytics cookies, marketing emails — withdrawable any time); legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site, responding to inquiries, evaluating submissions); performance of a contract / pre-contractual steps (assessing a funding application at your request); and legal obligation where required.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers acting on our behalf — Google (analytics), Beehiiv (email/newsletter), DreamHost (hosting), and Cloudflare (CDN and security) — who may use it only to provide services to us; with professional advisors, co-investors, and partners where relevant to a funding opportunity you’ve submitted, under appropriate confidentiality; and with authorities or third parties where required by law or to protect our rights.
International transfers
We’re based in the United States, and your information will be processed in the U.S. and possibly other countries. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above — the length of our correspondence or relationship, while we evaluate an application, or until you unsubscribe — then delete or anonymize it, unless the law requires longer.
Your rights
EU/UK (GDPR): you can access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your data; request portability; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA): you can know what we collect and how we use it; request access, deletion, or correction; and opt out of “sale” or “sharing.” We don’t sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these, email hello@foundersedge.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we’ll respond within the timeframes the law requires.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Cookie Policy
This explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on the Site. Read it together with the Privacy Policy above.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as localStorage, store small amounts of data in your browser. They help websites work, remember your preferences, and provide reporting.
How we use them
We keep this minimal. We use strictly necessary technologies required to deliver the Site securely and remember your cookie choice (no consent required), and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) that are optional. For visitors in the EU, UK, and Switzerland, these load only after you accept them; for everyone else (including the US), they load by default and you can opt out at any time. We don’t use cookies for advertising, and we don’t sell or share data collected via cookies.
What we set
| Name | Type | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
fe-cookie-consent | Strictly necessary (localStorage) | FoundersEdge | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies | Until cleared |
_ga | Analytics (optional) | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<id> | Analytics (optional) | Google Analytics | Persists GA4 session state | Up to 2 years |
__cf_bm, cf_clearance | Strictly necessary | Cloudflare | Bot management and security for our CDN | Up to ~30 min / session |
Our newsletter provider (Beehiiv) and any embedded third-party content may set their own cookies on their domains when you interact with them; those are governed by the relevant provider’s policy.
Your choices
If you’re visiting from the EU, UK, or Switzerland, a notice lets you Accept or Decline analytics cookies before any are set — ignore it and nothing is set. Everywhere else (including the US), analytics load by default and you can opt out at any time. Either way, you’re in control:
- Change your preference here: reopen the cookie notice.
- Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
- Google Analytics opt-out: install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. We also enable IP anonymization in Google Analytics.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Site to function incorrectly.

The Site links to third-party sites and services we don’t control. We provide these links for convenience and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimer
The information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only. Please note the following.
No offer or solicitation
Nothing on the Site is, or should be construed as, an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security, fund interest, or other financial instrument, nor shall there be any sale of securities in any jurisdiction where it would be unlawful. Any offer to invest in a FoundersEdge vehicle is made only to qualified investors through confidential offering documents and is governed solely by those documents.
No investment, legal, or tax advice
Our content — articles, playbooks, frameworks, and templates — is educational and general. It isn’t investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice, and it isn’t tailored to anyone’s circumstances. Consult your own professional advisors before making decisions. We aren’t acting as your advisor or fiduciary by providing this information.
Portfolio and third-party references
References to portfolio companies, founders, or third parties are for illustration and are not endorsements, recommendations, or guarantees of any outcome. Inclusion of a company doesn’t imply any investment was profitable, and the companies referenced may not be representative of all our investments.
Forward-looking statements
The Site may contain forward-looking statements, opinions, and projections that reflect our current views and involve risks and uncertainties. Actual results may differ materially, and we undertake no obligation to update them.
No guarantee of accuracy
While we aim to keep the Site accurate and current, we make no representations or warranties as to the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any information on it. Past performance is not indicative of future results, and any reliance you place on the information is at your own risk.
